Rooms and Facilities

There are nine bedrooms at Yeti. Some have twin beds, some double beds and some have queen size beds. There is also a pair of rooms which can interconnect, and can sleep a family of five. The lodge can sleep up to sixteen people in a range of combinations which will suit most families or groups.

The bedrooms at Yeti have the following sleeping arrangements

  1. Room 1 - 2 single beds or king double bed
  2. Room 2 - 1 queen bed (with interconnecting door to Room 3)
  3. Room 3 - 1 single bed, plus 1 bunk of 2 single beds (ie, 3 single beds in the room), with interconnecting door to Room 2
  4. Room 4 - 1 double bed
  5. Room 5 - 1 double bed with single bunk above
  6. Room 6 - 1 queen bed
  7. Room 7 - 1 double bed
  8. Room 8 - 2 single beds or king double bed
  9. Room 9 - 2 single beds or king double bed

Each room has its own ensuite bathroom, underfloor heating. Doonas and pillows are provided. All you need to bring is sheets, pillowcases and towels.

Regulations restrict the number of people that can stay overnight at the lodge to 16. Although the lodge has more beds, this regulation is strictly enforced by the authorities. The extra beds make sure Yeti has the flexibility to accommodate different combinations of families and guests very comfortably.

Facilities

The lodge also has a communal lounge room, and a large open plan dining room and kitchen. These are very comfortable, with great views across the valley in south Perisher.

During winter, skiers take advantage of the large wet area to kit up or unpack after a day's skiing. Immediately adjacent is a large and efficient drying room, beside internal access to the communal living areas.

The lodge also has a full laundry with a large coin-operated washing machine and dryer for you to use.

Storeroom

Yeti lodge has a storeroom stocked with a limited range of emergency supplies (in case there is ever that big dump of snow that traps you) as well as a range of staple items, free for your use (eg, salt and pepper, toilet paper, cleaning agents, etc).

Also available are a range of other items for your purchase (on an honour's basis), to cover you for those odd food and grocery items that you might run out of during your stay.

If you have any suggestions on what else could be included in the store, please let us know.
